Hi Michel, My name is Tyson McGhee I am a student at Vancouver Film School, studying to be a 3D animator. I am now working on my demo reel and have had my rig fail and was wondering if I could get your permission to use your Fuzzy Cartoon Rig 0.0.1 as one of my characters in my demo reel. Tyson Mcghee

That's some really nice rig, man. But I don't what happened, maybe because I'm opening it in Maya 2011, everything looks very messy to work with, cause all the joints are mixed with the controls and it makes almost impossible to select the controls. Maybe this version of Maya ignored some layers? The layers I see are skeleton (wich it hidden, but several joints still appear and geo_layer... Any tips?

Amazing rig!!! The face set up is simply incredible! So far every rig with squash and stretch features that I used to came across the face controls used to be an issue. So I was always resorting on animating the squash and stretch effects at the very end. Not here!... even with the stretchy feature activated the face controls stick to the mesh.... that blows my mind! I would love to learn how you did that...perhaps you would consider a video tutorial in the near future? (I tried to look into the outliner but I cannot make sense of that very intricate hierarchy... lol) However, great job!! and thanks for uploading! :-)

Someone else might have already figured this out, but I have a solution to the eye rendering issue in mental ray: Expand the Chiff_rig group in the outliner until you can select "group21" - selecting this should select both sets of eyes and eyelids. With that selected, open up the Attribute Editor. Scroll down and open up the Drawing Overrides tab. The "Display Type" setting is currently set to "Template" needs to be switched to "Normal" in order for the geometry to render correctly. Once that is switched it should work! Hope that helps!
