    Thanks for your reporting, I failed to notice that the 2016 version has changed couple global variables. This problem has been fixed now~should work in 2016

    You can't deform a plane into a perfect sphere; you can only get kind of bulge effect with spherical deformer. If you want somehow transform a plane into a sphere shape, you should do shrink wrap first, and then use spherical deformer to refine the result, I guess, but you still have to deal with the seam problem.

    Ok, i will try, as i tried applying two bend deformers in two perpendicular directions but i dont get the desired result...
