Knees break when lifting the IK control

So I have ran into a "bug" where I lift the feet Ik controls past a certain point, and the knee changes its position of the back of the character. Causing a reverse knee bend.

I thought it was me not creatng the character in a Tpose, since my mesh is not in a Tpose. That was not the cause when i used a Tpose. Then I thought there was not enough bend in the knee when creating the IK process, but that was no relevant if I used the default Tpose the software imposes.

So at this point. I have not been able to figure it out. If I do figure it out before the answer is presented here, i will submit my fix and close the bug.

The knee is in the yellow circle.
