Has anyone come up with a way to make the track halt? Keying the speed to go from x to 0 results in the threads halting, but then they move backwards a bit before halting again which looks a bit strange.. but it's still a great script :) It would be great to hear if anyone figured out how to halt them correctly :) -

If you Want interlocking treads just scale the tread down in the direction of your curve and run the script then select all the treads and bring there scale back to 1. it's basically trial and error to get them to interlock correctly. On another note this Script is so close to being Super Rad. If only you could actually animate the treads in your curve editor. The only animation approach I have right now is to create my keys and then turn the tangents into stepped. but this just looks like the tank is moving along and then someone just hits the breaks. if you leave the animation at spline it will slow and then spin backwards a bit. If anyone knows something I don't please give me a shout. thanks. -

simply the best script on the net anywhwere for QUICK setup of tank treads. I use the hidden curve that the objects are attached to and add some softBody and jiggle to the path to create a bit of bounce in the upper portion of the curve. thanks for sharing this great script! ant -

I'm also having problems as tyrellcrash has stated - I cannot work out the relation between the numerical value of speed, with the entire proportions of the scene etc. I'm not a scripting guru, so has anybody else successfully edited this so that you can control the treads animation in relation to the actual movement of the tank/cogs? My cogs and wheels are currently set driven keyed in rotation to the transformation of the vehicle body...... Other than that I have had no problems with the script! -

I'm also having weird issues with this script. As mentioned by Funk_ulf, I have a problem getting an animation working where the speed of the tracks can be slowed down to a halt. Any ideas? PS. I'm running 64bit Maya 2009 -

Great script, but i have a problem with it... If anyone knows how to get a moving tread to slow in to a halt with this script I would appreciate it. Can it do this? -
