Does that script save the file like if u press ctrl+s? If not, i guess that should be created a new script for saving scenes apart, like Ex: Scene_Saved_1 Scene_Saved_2 and so on... But that´s just my opinion! Cheers

Has anyone gotten this to work on a Mac?? I have added the userSetup.mel with the 2 commands listed above to the directories stated in the original documentation but the AutoSave menu option never shows up. I am on 2008 BTW.

Works great with 2008. This script is my new BFF. My thumb and index finger can finally break off that needy relationship with Command+s. Thanks for making this!

Using Maya 2009...I cannot figure out how to get Auto save in and Keep everything under File. When Auto save is installed, everything under FILE is gone accept Auto save. I installed this before on Maya 2009 with no problems but its not working now. I made sure to place at the end buildDeferredMenus(); source NPautoSave; Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

I have found a solution(thanks to Mafelix): You have to put these two lines into the USERSETUP file (Windows) :\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\maya\scripts. That´s where the NPautosave script also should be. buildDeferredMenus(); source NPautoSave; Then it startsup everytime Maya starts.
