Dave - Thanks for this! After looking through several bloated plugins - this is simple and elegant and gets the job done. Works perfectly with Bullet too! Cheers!

I've found this to be a bit 70/30, easy enough to use however seems to suffer from the same strange case of the missing polygons that I've come to expect of the maya Boolean operation on complex objects Best use seems to be with history deleted, normals hardened and set to face with a point light and pivot centered with transforms frozen, its also important that the locators be grouped (not just selected as a group). Also it seems to be a dramatic help if one makes a cage out of 8 locators first as anything on the outside seems to get cut off Anyway, many thanks for the script - keep up the good work.

Ok, so, it turns out "select a group of locators" doesn't mean "select a bunch of locators". I took a look at the script (never programmed in mel before, but I am a developer) and noticed that the LAST selection must be a group, thus, 1. you create locators and put them in a group [select them all and group them], 2. you select the object to shatter, 3. using the out-liner view, hold the control key and ALSO select the group created in #1, 4. press the Voronoi Shatter button. It's important that there are only 2 selections, the first being the mesh, and the second being the group node.'' Hopefully that helps someone, thanks, James _________________

The instructions are really bad for new comers. Put the .py in /Python and /Python/dll, and not sure if either work because I also get the "xform" error mentioned above.

Hi, thank you very much for the Script, it is perfect to me now. but I had some problem as upper floor, #Error: RuntimeError: No Valid objects supplied to 'xform' command although I tried a lot of times and did put the file in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2011\Python Thank you very much!
