This script started as a test for another purpose, but now basically it slides objects, joints, and components between others. This is useful for lining up bones or precisely aligning objects and components for modeling or animation.

Currently, applicable min/max targets are:
  • Objects (Poly, SubD, NURBS, Locator, anything with a transform node)
  • verts
  • CVs
  • EPs
  • curve points
  • lattice points
  • SubD mesh point
  • Particle
  • Joint

and applicable sliding-object types include:
  • Object (Poly, SubD, NURBS, Locator, anything with a transform node)
  • vert
  • CV
  • EP
  • lattice points
  • SubD mesh point
  • Joint

check within the script file for more information.

Just drop the script into My Documents/maya/x.x/scripts and type FBslider into the command line.
