Thank you CharlieWales, first of all I appreciate you taking time to reply back. I am facing this issue since long time, though it was frustrating I was busy with my projects. Now when I came across your awesome creation (Scene Tools 2.0.5 ), the issue continues, so tried my best all day searching google since morning......and finally got the solution Solution : Disable the floppy drive. So using Scene Tool not only made my job easy but also accidentally solved my age old problem with file menu. btw once again, Scene Tool is an awesome tool. Necessity is the mother of invention

Hi cod3, unfortunately, it is a Maya issue and I don't have any solution for this. And actually that was one of the main reasons for the new 'CharlieWales' File Browser', 'Open/Import/Reference Path...', 'Save Scene As...' and 'Export All/Selected' tools, to avoid having to open the Maya native file dialogs. I was tired of wasting my time when performing standard file operations. One advise would be to use this new tools. Thanks for the feedback.

Its just awesome, tons of thanks. And please advise on this issue which is annoying , when I use "Scene Tools" or click on default menu File>Open / File>import / File Save as.. the window takes around 5-10 seconds to open up. any help will be appreciated.

Hi Joe. You have two options for that. You can either press shift+m to bring the panel menu bar back and change the renderer or you can use the hotbox while in this window to change the renderer for this panel. Thanks for the feedback. Cheers.

Loving it so far, thanks! The only thing I feel is missing is the ability to change the renderer in the shot window to hardware or 2.0 if I need to.
