    This script worked fine for the blend shapes I wanted to mirror. I only had problems with 2 out of 12, where some (between 5 and 10) verts got shifted to the origin or between the origin and the desired position. Since it wasn't that many verts this was fast to fix though by snapping the moved verts to the right position, by using a mirrored version of the original blend shape. I do agree with the previous posters that it would be good if the history of the base mesh could be keept. It would also be nice with a renaming function, where the new blend shape got the same name as the original but with some letters replaced after specification (eg replace L with R). Atm you have to rename the created blend shape before being able to create a new one (else the previous mirrored blend shape gets overwritten with the base mesh).

    I just wanted to write that I found no prob with this script using it in Maya 7. I had no history on my blend shapes in the first place. This mirrored all of my blend shapes perfectly. I see no reason not to give it a good rating. I do think that keeping history would be good so I will reserve a rating of excellent.

    Really? It even half way worked for you? Mine doesn't do jack-squat not even when I open the script in the script editor and execute it from there. Nada, zero, zilch.

    This script doesn't work. First off, it doesn't mirror properly, you end up with verts that shift when you input the new geometry as a blend shape. It also delete's all the history off of the original object! Not good at all if you are trying to do compensatory blends on your rigged character.
