Crash When Opening New Scene and Changing Filter

I had this issue with Maya 2012 and still have it with 2013.  Steps to repro:

1)      Open Maya, Outliner Plus automatically loads and docks to the left side of the window.  Create some geometry, lights, etc. Use filters in Outliner Plus and everything works without issue.

2)      Open a different scene file that contains a variety of things – geometry, materials, etc.

3)      Outliner Plus shows all of the scene items as if it is in OUTLINER mode, even though the filter says otherwise.

4)      Upon changing the Outliner Plus filter to anything else (Outliner, Geo, Lights, etc.) Maya crashes.

Note: This seems to only happen if I load a scene with a filter active from a previous Maya scene. If I have Outliner Plus set to OUTLINER mode before I open a new scen then I am able to set filters and there is no crash.

Maya 2012 SAP/Maya 2013 x64 on Windows 7 Pro x64

    Same here with M 2011. Wouldn't it be easy to include a kind of refresh code, so it starts every time in OUTLINER mode? Unfortunally I hadn't time to dig into MEL or PYTHON yet. regards Luis
