    Maya 2016. Used this to instance proxy trees. Everything worked brilliantly until I can to run a test render with 5 or 6 of the trees in it. Maya didn't like it and crashed. There were other particle and instance set-ups in the scene so it could have been a number of reasons. But just in case its any use to anyone....
