Trouble with Referenced Models

I'm referencing my model, and find that one shelf of my poses work, and another doesn't. Is there a way to change the Namespace? I suspect that is what is causing the dilemma. It doesn't do anything when I ask it to clear/empty namespace, or to learn the namespace.
