You can create a rig, but you can't use it on maya 2012, because when click to create the rigg it will have 2 rigs and dont work correctly.

could you fix this for maya 2012 :) ?

Has this been resolved by any chance? I am using 2010 and I think I have the same issue as the OP here. What happens is I create the rig, adjust the joints to line up with my model, then after selecting 'left to right' I create the actual rig. The Left has two leg bones, while the right only has one. I try to bind it but it doesn't bind everything. Two nurbs circles on the right don't stay with the rest of the rig, and the foot control on the same side doesn't move the foot bones at all. I have used this rig in the past and I had no problems. So I am not sure what happened between a few months ago and now. I tried to 're-install' the script but still have the same issue.

I can't seem to replicate the issue you are having. So you are saying when you generate the rig, two rigs are stacked on top of each other and they are both unusable? Are you seeing any errors generating when you run the script? Any additional information you can provide me with would be helpful. You can also send me your file to dustin(at)rapidrig(dot)com Thanks!

The file hasn't changed in several months, so I am not sure what is causing this to happen all of a sudden. I can't seem to make this happen on my machine. It's really strange. But basically what is happening is the script errors out before completion. There are several joint chains stacked on top of eachother for the fk/ik systems, which is why you are seeing the multiple sets of joints. Most of these are usually hidden when the script completes, but the error is causing the file to stop running the script to completion, so you are seeing a broken rig.

How do you recommend I prevent the rig from breaking? Is it possible I have a plugin activated that is interfering with this rapid rig? I find it strange it's suddenly doing this as well, considering I have used it previously with absolutely no problems at all. This is the error that shows up in the Script Editor after making the rig: // Error: Connection not made: 'lLegSwitchCG_parentConstraint1.constraintRotateY' -> 'lLegSwitchCG.rotateY'. Destination attribute must be writable. // // Error: Could not add constraint or connections. // I think in the meantime I am going to shut off extra plugins to see if it's conflicting with this rig script.

After turning off plugins with nothing fixing the problem, I decided to check my animation settings under preferences. Somehow the blend choice was changed to 'never blend with existing connections'. I changed it back to 'always blend with existing connections' and the rig works perfectly again. :) It's all connected properly, no extra bones showing. Problem solved! Not sure if the OP has checked this at all, but if anyone else has this issue this might be the solution.
