Hello!
It looks like that this script doesn’t work with VRAY properly. PNG format instead of EXR comes out and render elements are not stored either. The problem isn’t solved.

Hello Scorpion_laz, If you're rendering with settings that say, png wont support, you'll need to grab the renders from your project's images/tmp folder. By default, maya stores the viewport render in that folder no matter what, even if you don't chose to save it. Hope that helps!

The script works great with Maya Software and Mental Ray. However, it cannot render a sequence with VRAY. I tried it several times. Files in Tmp-folder are are just overwritten, so it’s not very helpful.

Indeed, any file with the same name is overwritten, and this is a good way to keep huge exr's from piling up and wasting exsessive space. This is a Maya feature more than mentalray/ software render feature. If you're happy with a set of renders you could move them to another folder. However using naming conventions with render layer and file names allows you to automatically render different passes and layers with different names allowing you yo keep them in the tmp folder if desired.
