Feature Request

Add another skin weight?

Status:pending

Hi, I have some characters which I need some clothes to be overlapped. So I make another joint and controller to them. I'm curious that can I add another skin weight which is not including in the script? Thank you

Yes, you can add extra joints simply to the rig. Once the autoRig has run, the character is completely editable and you can treat it as you would any other character. The extra joints and controls will not work if you add them before you run the script. Cheers

Would you mind check this for me? I tried to bind skin the piece of cloth with new joints and the red label says 'they are already connected to skinCluster.' img file>> https://upic.me/i/c8/69untitled.png Do I have to put the new joints into some of the grp in outliner? Thank you

Ah, I see what you did. You are adding joints to the geometry that is already skinned. Please use Skin > Add Influence objects. Check the documentation if you need help. You will ofcourse need to rig your joints into the rig to make it follow the hips. Simplest way I can think is to group them, and parent constrain the group to the hip_anim.
