This tool adjusts the volume of a scaled object. I use this mostly on the head ctrls of rigs that don't already have a squash and stretch deformation when scaled.
USAGE:
After scaling the object, select the axis you scaled it on and press "Adjust volume" to apply. When adjusting the scale again, you need to press the button again. Note:
Since the other scale axis' will be used to make the adjustements, any existing scale values on those axis' will be changed.
INSTALLATION:
Paste the MEL files in your Maya scripts forlder: C:\Users\?User?\Documents\maya\?version?\scripts
and run this MEL line inside Maya: svm_fixStretchRatio_UI();
(you can make a shelf button for that) Or put the files in any location and source them with a button, but don't forget the command: svm_fixStretchRatio_UI(); To remove the tool out of your maya, simply delete the files.
A THANK YOU: I want to thank my friend Kris Borghs for the idea and the initial raw version of the code for this tool.
