These particles are given a creation position according to a selected maya ocean
The particles will inherit the colour of the part of the ocean they are created at and will gradually become whiter.
The script adds 4 attributes to the particle shape node:
-Minimum Height: the minimum height of the wave particles will be created at
-Minimum Brightness: the minimum brightness of the wave area the particles will be created at
-Maximum Height: the maximum height from the wave the particles will reach before they're pulled down
-Pull Down Force: the change in velocity the particles are pulled down at when they reach max height
In order to see the particles, you will need to adjust the miminum brightness from the default setting, or emit foam from your ocean.
To get a decent look, you'll have to really knock up the rate and also play with the look of the particles and the settings on the fields.
This is the first script I've submitted so I would like as much feedback as possible - or if anyone's used it towards a piece of work I'd like to see it.
Put the twEmitFromOcean.mel file into your scripts directory and type twEmitFromOcean into the command line.
